About Ashley Milburn

 

Ashley Milburn is Co- Founder of CultureWorks; a cultural initiative focused in West Baltimore, MD. Ashley has M.Ed in Community Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art and M.Ed in Classroom Instruction from the University of Rio Grande with a concentration in Multiple Intelligences (MI). I am a Vernacular Artist and cultural organizer who received a Fellowship from Open Society Institute in 2008 to continue his work in West Baltimore. Mr. Milburn has 10 years of teaching at public schools, 4 years as a Lecturer in Fine Arts at Pennsylvania State at Altoona and University of Rio Grande. He is a former Peace Corps Volunteer. Ashley's studio work has focused upon visualizing racism.
